Thai Yoga Massage
My recent training in Thai Yoga Massage with Sebastian Bruno at The Sanctuary in Koh Phangan, Thailand was far more of a lesson in how to begin to trust in our bodies own wisdom than it was a basic manual training. Each time Sebastian took the center of the circle to demonstrate a new move in the sequence of our routine he dissolved into half of a dance that unfolded from the space of pure listening. His instructions were sweet, “keep it simple” and, “when you loose your way come back to the present and breath”, and maybe most important was, “be comfortable in your own body, that ease will alway translate to the ease of your recipient”.
After six days of bending and wringing out in the Prana Hall, our group of ten beginners became fluent enough to open to the public, show-casing our accomplishments and expanding our sphere to the entire Sanctuary community.
Through the grace and joy of our generous teacher, we were able to transcend time and space with our physical listening and become more than what we were at the start. Each of us bonded through the art of humanities ancient healing.
I want to thank each of my fellow students, in no particular order but the order of love, Jo, Nick, Krispin, Andre, Angie, Sarah, Bob, Yuri and Uliana THANK YOU and a our ultimate appreciation to the sharing and expanding Sebastian allowed us to co-create.
If you find yourself nearby to this angel of dynamic love and movement, do yourself and your loved ones the favor of dancing his dance, you will never look at massage or the language of touch the same again.
